University of Florida Greenhouses & Research Facility
The UF/IFAS Research Facility was a modernization of IFAS’s research buildings 5001 and 5002 on a 20 acre site that was focused on enhancing the architectural and educational aspects of the facilities, as well as the site itself. The project included selective demolition, interior renovation of lab and office space, demolition and construction of a new greenhouse, underground utilities and site improvements. The project was completed within budget and 2 months ahead of schedule.
The UF/IFAS Greenhouses project included the construction of new greenhouses and a metal building which are being used for research and education.
