Pirtle Construction Company Replaces Two Separate Systems with CMiC

TORONTO – December, 6, 2007 – CMiC, the leader in enterprise-wide software solutions for the construction industry, announced today that Pirtle Construction Company replaced their two previous systems with the fully-integrated CMiC Enterprise, CMiC Project Management and CMiC Integration.
“Our goal was to integrate the company,” said Miles Willson, Director of Information Technology at Pirtle Construction Company, a construction manager based in Florida. “Our Project Managers didn’t have access to live job cost information as well as a lot of items being tracked by our accounting department, such as signed contracts and subcontractor payments. The flow of information was limited and cumbersome.” Pirtle had previously employed Computer Ease for accounting and Prolog Manager for Project Management.
With an annual project volume between $300 and $350 million, Pirtle outgrew its accounting system and after an extensive search decided to implement CMiC, a solution that provides full-integration between accounting and project management. “CMiC is a full solution that is targeted to our type of work,” said Willson. “We aren’t giving up functionality for integration and there will be a better flow of information. CMiC will bring a consistent approach to processes based on information from the company as a whole.”
