Deerwood Elementary School is an existing school where Pirtle built the new school on the playfields while the existing school remains in operation. There is careful consideration to school safety and the Pirtle staff is worked closely with the administration. The project also included a significant demucking activity to develop a portion of the property. The building design is a SchenkelShultz Architecture prototype elementary school that Pirtle constructed once before in Orange County.
