Life at Pirtle

Barbara Scola, Executive Assistant / Project Coordinator
"In my 36 years with Pirtle Construction I have experienced many challenges and changes. When I started with the company I was the 3rd person in a 3 person office. I have grown along with the company. My co-workers are very amicable and the atmosphere is friendly yet business like."

"The company is recognized among the best in the industry and are committed to their clients every need. I am proud to be a part of Pirtle Construction, a company that recognizes Loyalty, Persistence & Dependability of their employees."

Mary Devereaux, Senior Project Coordinator
"I am proud to be a Pirtle employee for the last 13 years and look forward to continuing my employment here for many years to come. I am truly fortunate to work for such a highly respected company with unquestionable integrity. My strong work ethic has been valued and rewarded by this company. I have had the support and encouragement to work in various capacities, all which have been stimulating and challenging. This job has given me a true sense of security and stability which is extremely significant for me. I wouldn't want to work anywhere else."

Jeff Miles, LEED AP, Senior Project Manager
"I started at Pirtle Construction as an intern over 9 years ago from the University of Florida BCN program. I have been provided the opportunity to grow with the direction, mentoring and leadership of our executive team as well as other team members I have worked with. The internship with Pirtle provided insight for me to see the culture and my role in the company's success which led to my decision in making Pirtle Construction my career path. In less than 2 years, I was promoted to Project Manager and ran a new Elementary School. As Senior Project Manager, I am now completing the West Broward High School the largest school in Broward County ahead of schedule and under budget because of the company's commitment to my career growth."

Tony Sicignano, Superintendent
"I have been with Pirtle Construction since 1984 and in those 25 years I have truly grown significantly in my career. I started as a first period apprentice, became a foreman by the fourth period and earned my Superintendent role by the eight period of the apprenticeship program and have done every type of project you can imagine. I have learned from the ground up, start to finish through CO. I have learned firsthand the tilt wall construction process which has enabled me to self perform it on a number of projects. The key to be a Pirtle superintendent is hands on experience and dedication. If you want to grow in your career Pirtle is the place to work we are all taught and groomed the Pirtle way."
