Executive Staff

Bill Ellis, LEED AP BD+C, Vice President

As Vice President, Bill Ellis oversees all phases of construction operations related to preconstruction, construction and project close-out, with an emphasis on quality, teamwork, and exceeding client expectations.

Ellis joined Pirtle Construction in 1995 as a project manager.  Over the past 16 years, he has gained an extensive amount of experience working with public and private owners on various types of facilities.  He has supervised the construction of more than 65 educational facilities for school districts in Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach counties, Florida Atlantic University, and Broward College as well as public safety buildings, libraries, and sports complexes throughout South Florida.  Some of his notable projects include the School Board of Broward County’s West Broward High School in Pembroke Pines, FL, Pine Crest School’s LEED Gold Certified Lower School and Administration Building in Boca Raton, FL; Pine Crest School’s Upper School in Fort Lauderdale, FL; Pirtle Construction's LEED Silver Certified Corporate Headquarters in Davie, FL; and the City of Coral Springs Public Safety Complex and LEED Silver Certified Fire Station 80.

Ellis serves as the company's Corporate Safety Director and oversees jobsite safety performance and training to ensure safety regulation compliance.  He is responsible for keeping all Pirtle jobsites and personnel safe by ensuring that each adhere to the highest levels of safety standards.

 

Ellis, an alumni of Florida State University, is a LEED Accredited Professional. He has overseen the management and certification of three LEED Gold and Silver Certified facilities. Ellis also serves on the Broward Education Foundation’s Board of Directors, McFatter Technical Scholarship Committee and is a Partner in Excellence Volunteer for the School Board of Broward County.
