Pirtle Constructions work is primarily with the Public Sector and all MWBE requirements and goals are exceeded on all of our projects. Pirtle Construction works to support MWBE minority firms to promote them into successful companies. Pirtle Construction mentors, trains, lowers bonding capacity requirements, and in some instances offers payment assistance to enhance the MWBE Small Businesses that we work with. Pirtle is committed to the growth and success of our local M/WBE and Small Businesses and have often helped them graduate from the program through our Pre-Construction Department, Executives as well as Project Managers and Superintendents all minority subcontractors are mentored, trained and assisted with the process. We continually train small minority and women owned firms with hands on executive input. Some areas that we train on are construction management including cost control/scheduling/constructability reviews/quality control, accounting, payroll, safety, training programs, subcontractor solicitation, and estimating just to name a few.

We are heavily involved in the School District of Palm Beach County Office of Diversity Minority Monthly Luncheons. A sponsor of the Palm Beach Matchmaker event every year, and Broward County and School Board of Broward County Minority sponsorships and events as well as local trade organizations such as ABC, AGC, CASF and AIA, Pirtle Construction mentors, trains, lowers bonding capacity requirements, and in some instances offers payment assistance to enhance the MWBE Small Businesses that we work with. We have multiple solicitation methods and post all of our bid drawings on our FTP site for quick and convenient access for all of our subcontractors.

Pirtle Construction utilizes the SDPBC Minority Form 1528 to track and measure our M/WBE Small Business Success. Each of our clients has a different form that we utilize to track our participation and our Project Managers utilize an internal report to exceed those goals. Our Pre-Construction Department keeps a detailed database of M/WBE and small business contractors that we solicit and rate for every project. Many of our Subcontractor grow extensively and graduate from the M/WBE small Business program because of the mentoring and assistance that the Pirtle team offers.

Pirtle has fostered the growth of many minority firms by allowing them to continue to be successful businesses with Bonding assistance and additional subcontract awards. Many have become so successful they have graduated from M/WBE programs based on annual dollar volume of business.
