Description: This will be the new home for the ?Young at Art?; a non-profit organization that focuses on the application of art stimulating the creativity in children and improving the learning potential of our youth. The other user group that will have space in the building will be the Broward County library system. The project is programmed to be approximately 55,000 square feet and has a construction budget of $11.85 million. The designer is Spillis Candela DMJM who we?ve completed many successful projects with. The site for this project is on Flamingo Road and SR 84 and will be visible from I-595. The owner is requiring this project to be a sustainable design and constructed for a LEED Silver USGBC certification.
Trades Required: Demolition, Landscape irrigation, site utilities, concrete spread footing foundations, reinforced concrete slabs, columns and beams, reinforced concrete masonry, pre-cast concrete joists, steel bar joists and metal decking with lightweight insulating concrete, flat built-up and standing seam metal roofing, miscellaneous roofing accessories, sealants, building insulation, hollow metal doors and frames, impact resistant glazed aluminum storefront, doors and windows, steel studs and gypsum wallboard, exterior and interior stucco and plaster, ceramic tile flooring, ceramic tile walls and base, sheet vinyl flooring, interior and exterior painting and caulking, toilet compartments, toilet accessories, miscellaneous specialty items, fire sprinkler system, mechanical cooling and ventilating systems, plumbing fixtures and piping and electrical power and lighting systems including a standby generating system and elevator.
